Top 3 Events Nearby in February

Although it finds comfort nestled in the heart of winter, February is generally a warmer month here in Myrtle Beach.  The average temperature in February is 61 degrees, which is higher than it is in January.  Aside from that, many of the attractions that closed down after Christmas reopen this month including Palace Theatre’s shows and Legends In Concert.

For those looking for a weekend retreat or if you’re just looking to escape the below zero conditions in the north, Myrtle Beach is an excellent choice for a February vacation.  Unlike the last few months, most of the vendors and local merchants in the area are gearing up for a busier spring season, which means there are great deals available and plenty of things to do.

Below we’ve detailed three events we’re most looking forward to.  However, you can find every event going on in February over on our event calendar.

Chase Rice Live at House of Blues

Whether you’re looking for a fun night out or trying to find a fun event to cap off a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner, making your way up to the House of Blues to see Chase Rice live in concert on February 14th is a must! Tickets will be $15 at the door and the concert will begin at 8 p.m. with opening acts Sam Hunt and Cale Dodds.  Please call (843) 272-3000 for more information.

The Caravelle Baseball at the Beach Tournament

College baseball is about to be in full swing with teams from around the country already starting practice.  Coastal Carolina University is no different and they’ll once again be hosting some of the best teams from around the country right here in Myrtle Beach.  The Caravelle Baseball at the Beach Tournament begins on February 20th and runs through March 2nd.  All games will be played at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans stadium right next to Broadway at the Beach.

10th Annual Green Tour With Flogging Molly

On February 21st, the House of Blues will welcome nationally known Celtic rock band Flogging Molly to their center stage.  Known for their single “Drunken Lullabies”, the band has been going strong since 1993 and is celebrating their 10th annual Green Tour right here in Myrtle Beach.  Tickets are $26 and you can purchase them in advance by calling (843) 272-3000.
