Pool and Waterpark Questions We’ve Got Answers
Myrtle Beach may be located right on the Atlantic Ocean and Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark may be just steps from the refreshing tides and salty sea waters, but we know how important it is to have a variety of options sans salt and sand. Crown Reef has some of the best resort pool amenities on the beach. Below are some common questions and their answers.How many pools do you have?
We have a large tropical island pool, a 125 foot oceanfront pool and a heated indoor pool. We also have three kiddie pools perfect for the little ones in your group and eleven whirlpools to relax in.
What are the pool hours?
Our pools, hot tubs and lazy river are open year round; hours may vary seasonally. Hours vary based on season for our waterpark section. Please see the front desk for current hours.
Are your pools open year round?
All of our water amenities, indoor and outdoor, are open year round.
Are your pools heated?
All of our water amenities, indoor and outdoor, are heated throughout the year. Our indoor pool is heated to 82 degrees and all of our hot tubs are heated to 102 degrees.
A 40-foot oceanfront waterpark? Tell me more!
Crown Reef is one of the select resorts that boasts its’ own waterpark! Our Myrtle Beach resort waterpark towers nearly 40 feet above the ground and features a 278-foot long two-person Explosion Tube slide, a single-person 302-foot long Twister Body slide and, just for the kids, an 8-foot tall, 20-foot long slide for the little ones! The waterpark is seasonally enclosed and heated. Hours vary based on season.

You can float until your heart is content in our 575-foot oceanfront lazy river.
Do you provide pool towels?
We sure do! You can find them at the Guest Services desk on the Lobby Level near the Town Center.
Are there lounge chairs?
There are lounge chairs all along the oceanfront pool deck AND we have a 4-story sundeck with even more lounge chairs and room to soak up the Myrtle Beach sun.
Do I need to reserve a lounge chair?
No, lounge chairs are first come, first serve, and there are plenty of seating options.
Is there a pool bar or grill?
Yes! There is a pool bar and grill located on the pool deck seasonally. If you are vacationing between Memorial Day and Labor Day you can get your favorite tropical beverage and smoothies without going far. You can also grab a quick bite to eat, the menu varies but you will often find grill staples like hamburgers and hot dogs. You will also find a few picnic tables and tables and chairs located throughout the pool deck.
