Labor Day 2017 in Myrtle Beach

Labor Day is a time to relax, and a time to bring your family together for barbecues, activities and fun, so why not do it right here at Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark! Not only do we have an array of pools, hot tubs and the longest oceanfront lazy river in Myrtle Beach, we also have an oceanfront waterpark! We have a whole weekend of fun planned for the whole family!



Crown Reef Labor Day Weekend Activities


Friday – September 1st


We will be kicking off the weekend on Friday with activities and entertainment on the pool deck all day. The festivities begin with Bonghi, a Reggae band from 11a – 1p, DJ Grady 1p – 5p, Pool Party with DJ Chris 5p – 11p and a guest favorite, our Friday night Glow Party from 8p – 11p. Make sure to have your camera ready from 12:30p – 1:30p, when Captain Sneaky and his parrot Tiki make their rounds for meet and greets.



Saturday – September 2nd


Saturday is another day filled with family friendly excitement! The day revs up with Tropical Jammers steel drum band 11a – 1p. The music keeps playing poolside with DJ Joe from 1p – 4p and DJ Miriam 4p – 8p. The fun moves up to Loco Gecko for family-friendly Karaoke with DJ Joe 7p – 11p. You can also catch up with your favorite Captain Sneaky and Tiki Bird as they mingle from 12:30p - 1:30p.



Sunday – September 3rd


Sunday Bonghi the Reggae band gets the party started from 11a – 1p on the pool deck and the soothing sounds of Tropical Jammers steel band keeps the live music coming 1p – 4p. Keep your dancing pants on from 4p – 8p when DJ Miriam will be spinning the poolside jams. Take the whole family to Loco Gecko to round out the night for dinner and a game of Music Bingo with Joe from 8p – 11p.



Monday – September 4th


Monday marks Labor Day and rounds out the weekend with another day full of live entertainment. You can experience the island sounds of Tropical Jammers the steel drum band from 11a – 1p and dance to the beat of a live DJ from 1p – 8p.


The best part is you won’t even need to leave the pool deck for lunch! Stop by the pool bar and grill all weekend long for a quick bite to eat.

Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival – September 1st & 2nd


The Beach, Boogie and BBQ festival is something visitors and locals alike wait for all year! Only once a year do you get the chance to sample insanely good BBQ from equally good cooking talent. The festival takes place at the Market Common Grand Park, and 25 plus teams will be competing for over $8,600 in cash prizes. Luckily, this BBQ isn’t just for show, and you can fill up on some of the best barbecue around. This can’t miss event will have local vendors, live entertainment, family friendly activities and so much more. This festival will be cookin’ from 6p – 9p Friday the 1st and Noon to 6p, Saturday the 2nd.



7th Annual Coastal Uncorked – September 1st – 3rd


Take a trip to Broadway at the Beach Labor Day weekend for diverse variety of events at Coastal Uncorked Food and Wine Festival! The festival is known for its creative approach to culinary delight, and this year is no different. Friday you can taste a variety of desserts and wash them down with different mixtures of moonshine at the Chocolate Under the Moon event. Saturday is host to a very popular event, Brews N’ the Beach where you can immerse yourself in craft beer, food and live music. Sunday rounds out the weekend on a high note at the Grand Tasting Tent, where you can sample all different varieties of wine, and snacking on a variety of food selections. You will definitely not regret making an appearance at this weekend long event! Three day passes are $70 plus fees or non-drinking tickets are available for $10 per person.
